At last, what the Mangyans in Barangay Paitan, Naujan, Oriental Mindoro had requested last June 18, 2009 was just executed the other day, 31st of July 2009. Such request stated thus,

RESOLUSYON NA HILINGIN KAY KGG. ROMAR G. MARCOS, PUNUMBAYAN ANG PAHINTULOT NA ANYAYAHAN SI ENGR. ELMER S. LOPOZ, COMMUNITY AFFAIRS OFFICER SA ISANG PAGPUPULONG NG MGA OPISYAL NG PAMAHALAANG BARANGAY NG PAITAN SA DARATING NA IKA-31 NG HULYO TAONG 2009 HINGGIL SA USAPING PANGTEKNOLOHIYA AT PANG KABUHAYAN SA BARANGAY.

SAPAGKAT, lubhang napakahirap ang paghahanapbuhay sa Barangay Paitan sa kabila ng aming mga manang ariarian at mga lupain, kung kaya’t kami’y magpupulong ukol sa usaping pangkabuhayan;

SAPAGKAT, si Engr. Elmer S. Lopoz ay napag-alaman naming taglay ang kaalamang pangkabuhayan na akma sa aming kalagayan;

KAYA’T aming NAPAGPASYAHAN na anyayahan ang Community Affairs Officer na si Engr. Elmer S. Lopoz, sa pahintulot ng Kagalanggalang na Punumbayan Romar G. Marcos na dumalo sa pagpupulong upang makapaglahad ng mga angkop na mga Teknolohiyang Pangkabuhayan.

NAPAGPASYAHAN din na bigyan ng sipi ng Resolusyong ito ang Kgg. Romar G. Marcos at si Engr. Elmer S. Lopoz.

SA MUNKAHI NI Kgg. Valentin D. Guarde na pinangalawahan ni Kgg. Fernando A. Lintawagin ang Resolusyong ito ay lubos na pinagtibay.

The Mangyans are Oriental Mindoro's aborigines. Though some of them are now lawyers, teachers, technicians, etc., the majority of them are still in the verge of poverty and ignorance. But thanks goodness, ignorance is not equal to foolishness nor stupidity. They just don't know some things, most of which the "lowlanders" had already possessed.

Before I delivered an inception lecture in Jathropa production and coconut husk processing including the accompanying soap making from the oils produced by both feedstocks, I explained to them their present status by Poverty Cycle Diagram. Implied therein are mitigations of the Philippine Government legislation which will sustain future undertaking of this kind in the local level.

Attenders took the matter with utmost zeal that they wanted to commence on soap making at the soonest time possible while completing legal requirements for Biodiesel and Geotextile production.

Their conviction of having the capacity to participate in such kind of project is strong. They have hectares of vacant lots to accomodate Jathropa plants and thousands of coconut trees which produced their husks that has no value until they hear them of their commercial potential from this effort.

God's proclamation thusly stated: "let them have dominion..." was one of the most horrible charge from a Supreme Being to the finite being-Man in the light of present circumstances of humanity.

For centuries man have struggled to make his circumstances conforming to his ideals and dreams. But the more he expended efforts of attaining such quest, the more frustrated he came to be. This will remain until man's "..dominion.." is up.

Why? What's the matter with man's dominion?

For thousands of years, man's governments have failed to divorce himself from misery. The root cause? God's charge: "..let them have dominion.."

Though humanity have suffered greatly under the order of circumstances, some rulers, a few of them have ushered temporary yet almost approaching the state of utopia. Because they transcended to the norm of man's way of governance.

Look, we only have one Universe filled with heavenly bodies as numerous as the sand of the sea suspended in the space. Yet they are in order. Each star and planet moves on its own path without colliding with other terrestrial objects. The Universe, galaxies, and solar systems are not in chaos, because they are governed not by the order of man's administration. Man has the earth alone to exercise his own dominion. Just as he can not get along with his own, so with earth which he inhabit. Man's corrupt nature is not content with what Earth could sufficiently supply without endangering his neighbor and other species. He exploited nature including those which belong to the generation of the future. This enraged nature; Earth is now becoming unfriendly to its own inahabitants: a consequence of man's "..dominion.."

LIVING FOR OTHERS

I was standing here at the porch of a house which stood for several decades in Poblacion I of Naujan, Oriental Mindoro. The house crumbled into ruins when two heavy storms on December 1-3, 2006 struck most of Bicol Region, Southern Tagalog Region, and part of Western Visayas. Many valuable properties, livelihood and industries were badly affected. Some had even lost loved-ones.

In situations of crisis like this, a mere presence to the affected is as valuable as a helping hand.

Most of us think that extension of aids is only meant for those who have enough supply for their own, and that assistance is always in material form. Fortunately, a few ones had remembered that material possessions that we got are just conversions of the value of each moment that we give in exchange of them. The wealth that we have accumulated are our very own lives that we have liquidated.

We can also give our most valuable gifts when we are present to them who at times need them the most.

This thing determines your life's destiny which is fixed throughout eternity. Understanding Life: Thelogical Perspective

Life is more than what majority think it is to be. If each person under the sun takes time to ponder on its substance, source, duration and destiny, and live accordingly, this planet would have never been such chaotic.

Look, earth is in constant disorder not because of diverse view in life, but because of humanity's failure to have a firm grasp of the truth. This one

"Sets free"...-Christ; which Pontious Pilate asked:

"What is it?" of which no answer had been given by Him Whom he asked it for. For

Himself being under trial is the Substance of it, just as He claimed

"I AM"...truth, and the LIFE.

The meaning of LIFE and its understanding is in package with the TRUTH. Without it, life has no meaning other than an endless daily routine which terminates at the tomb.

The tomb is a universal symbol of cessation of life, and viewed by majority as a place of doom which nobody would ever desire to enter. But some considered death as the gateway to the afterlife which is pretty accurate. The afterlife is one of the missing dimensions that humanity in general failed to consider in their daily affairs of life. And this MISSING DIMENSION is THE MOST IMPORTANT DIMENSION in the affairs of eternity!!! Yet many entered eternity without even giving due consideration about it during their lifetime!!!

The tomb, being a symbolic gateway to eternity, is a constant reminder to humanity to live soberly. And they who live and say "teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom", view the tomb as a place of assured victory and hope for through it the One Who claim, "I AM the ...TRUTH, and the LIFE" passed through. And those who abide in His instructions were promised with the same experience, and Power over odds in life, and Understanding of what life is, and wisdom to live accordingly.

ONE THING TO DO

I have seen other Elmer Lopoz in the Cyberspace around 4 to 5 years ago. And I was sure he couldn't be me. He was a Painter, and we are two different persons. Each one of us had his own set of things and activities in life. We differ on things in which we are preoccupied with.

I have tried to look for other person with this name in the internet recently, and I found out to be the only one left in the cyberspace as I know it. To my knowledge so far, there is only one person in my name existing in the cyberspace doing set of things relative to the identity of this person. Though being alone, if no resolution had been taken on what to do in life, would turn his activities in absolute mess; or, if had resolved once for his lifetime but got no systematic division of his business in life, will find each part seemingly conflicting and confusing. There is a need to have a sub-resolution for each element in life which has to be in harmony with others, and these have to be unanimously directed toward the sole resolution which sat the objective in life.

Every single bit of matter in my personality is part of the whole matter that compose me. It may not be perfect, but it's my responsibility to keep them working in synergy to attain my PURPOSE in life.

But the reality is, we humans tend to divide against our very own self. And that is what I am in constant battle with everyday. My very own self becomes my own antagonist in accomplishing ONE THING: the objective which determines my purpose.

My Purpose is the One Thing to Do in Life. The potential of attaining so is in myself, and the impedement is in myself as well.
